    Male Infertility

Numerous studies have shown acupuncture to be of benefit in the treatment of male infertility. Whether you are trying to conceive naturally, or using assisted reproductive techniques, acupuncture has been shown to increase sperm count and quality  as well as concentration.

We work closely with Reproductive Endocrinologists, Urologists, Oncologists, Psychologists and other healthcare providers to create a personalized program that assures you receive the best that each medical system has to offer.

    • Studies indicate that acupuncture can be an effective and safe treatment for erectile dysfunction. In this pilot study, premature ejaculation was shown to respond to acupuncture without the risk of side effects posed by commonly prescribed medication.
    •  Research has shown that acupuncture can help to relieve pain for men diagnosed with chronic prostatitis and in turn improve the complex quality of life issues that arise with it. There is also promising evidence that it is an effect treatment for chronic pelvic pain syndrome.
    • For prostate cancer, acupuncture can offer relief to symptoms associated with hormonal therapy.

     Treatment Plan

Depending on the frequency and severity of the symptoms you are experiencing, we typically see men 1-2 times a week for four to six weeks, then we reassess the health concern.
